PM Cameron once again demonstrated his credentials this week as a true man of the people, in the wake of the most unexpected triumph in British sporting history; congratulating his fellow blues, thus:

“I, a real human person, express fulsome gladness that this popular sports competition was resolved in a respectable area of London; with a conclusion which has proven satisfactory to all concerned.

I extend congratulations to Leicestham Villa in a hearty manner, having supported them all my life; and I fondly recall Gary Lineker’s famous winning penalty against the Harlequins, at the Velodrome, back in the year of 2011 – which single-handedly won Britain the Ashes”.
